Currently (and this could change, of course), the US requires a covid test before returning from the UK. We'll be driving from Oban via Inverary to Glasgow. Overnighting Glasgow and flying out early the next day. Can anyone advise where to get a covid test on a Saturday along the Oban-Inverary-Glasgow route?
Watching for replies as we will also be flying out of Glasgow early. We took along the Emed proctored Binax tests for our last trip, and it all worked well, so may order those again. I keep hoping the US will drop the requirement so we don’t have to load our bags with test kits again.
My sister splits her time between Scotland and the States and I am visiting for the first time this week. She has advised me to get my test to come home at the Glasgow airport. You do need an appointment and it's 55gbp per person. I looked for the day before my flight and there are plenty of appointment times between 7:00-16:00. Not sure if that fits the timeframe you'll be arriving in Glasgow but thought I'd pass that along!
CB....Thank you very much for this tip. I'm sure it will help others as well. Our problem is that the airport times don't work for us. I do hope the US drops the requirement by May 28!
