Sorry, I didn't see this when I replied to your other post. The town of Dumbarton has a couple of train stations, both of which are served by frequent, inexpensive trains into Glasgow. Can you figure out if the place where you're dropping the car is near one of the train stations?

Dumbartonshire is an area so the main town in Dumbarton, just like Perthshire,s main town is Perth so as KHBuzzard says just look from links from Dumbarton.
loads of trains to Glasgow and it will cost about £4.40 taking around 30 minutes.
