The Corran Ferry has been withdrawn from service at lunchtime today due to a steering problem, with no return date currently known- very probably not in 2025
This is the route you take if travelling from Oban to Lochaline for the ferry to Fishnish (Isle of Mull)- the usual route when the Oban to Craignure ferries are cancelled.
Pre tem you will need to drive round the Loch via Fort William.
A 12 passenger foot passenger vessel is in service across the Corran narrows, and the existing foot passenger service between Fort William and Camusnagaul will have extra sailings added.
Additionally the possibility of adding buses from Camusnagaul to Strontian is being reviewed.
