We are flying British Airways to Edinburgh and have one hour at Heathrow Airport to change airplanes. Both flights land and take off at terminal 5. Is one hour enough time to get through security between flights?
Is it a single ticket?

Yes it is. I will check out the link you sent.
Thank you.
You will go through immigration at Heathrow but it is not the main hall but the transfer immigration. follow the connection signs for this.
Even if you miss you connection, BA has numerous daily flights to Edinburgh and will get you on the next available one.
We landed in T5A (rather than C, but the long walk probably equaled the shuttle train underground time) about 8:30AM on a Tuesday and were through immigration, conformance photo, and LHR security check and in the main hall of T5A before 9. If you have a biometric passport immigration is a minute or two in line and quick scan and photo.
