Cock of the North liqueur and where to buy?

My son-in-law has asked that we bring this back for him. Is it readily available in certain areas or special to the distillery only? I had to look it up as I thought it was a brand of whisky, but found that it's a liqueur made with whisky and a blackberry liqueur. They ship, but only to UK countries. The only thing on their website is 5cl, which, if I'm remembering correctly, is about the size of a drink on an airline.

Does anyone know if it comes in larger sizes?

Hi, Terri,

The berries used in the Cock o' the North are actually blaeberries, which are more similar to American blueberries. I'm hard pressed to find anything larger than the 5cl bottle that you found. That would just about fill a good sized shot glass!

If no one else here can come up with more information, you may want to try phoning or e-mailing the company. They're in Aboyne, which is just west of Aberdeen, on the way to Royal Deeside.

The tune "Cock o' the North" is the march tune of the Gordon Highlanders, who are headquartered in Aberdeen.

Good luck!
