Car rental Edinburgh airport

I used Enterprise in 2022.

We rented a car at Edinburgh Airport last August, drove to Oban, Portree, Inverness, Stirling and back over a 7 day period. The rental and pick up at the airport went smoothly. My only word of advice is to either just agree to pay for tank fillup when returning the car or be sure to locate a station on your return route before the day of returning. We did not plan to pay the rental company for the fill up because that is generally more expensive. However, when we were driving from Stirling to the Airport we got lost on a series of roundabouts and were running late and did not see a gas station on any of the access roads, Therefore, we just returned it half full and paid the extra cost. Just a point to consider.

I've used Arnold Clark on my last two trips to the UK, which is based in the UK.

They are good about upgrading sometimes, and very courteous and helpful. I will always use them in the UK for future rentals.

I can't vouch for the whole experience yet as I've only just booked my car not taken the trip yet, but based on recommendations from this forum I went with Celtic Legends. They are a lot less expensive than the other companies I looked at, so that pretty much decided it for me.
