From following posts here I believe that it can be tricky to get a ferry booking in Scotland in the summer especially if you expect to take a car on board. But I had put on my calendar that CalMac ferry booking calendar would open today. And this morning was successful to book our passage for August dates. Booking is only open on these routes-
Ardrossan and Troon-Brodick, Stornoway-Ullapool, Uig-Tarbert-Lochmaddy, *Oban-Craignure, *Oban-Coll/Tiree, Oban-Castlebay,
*Oban-Colonsay and *Kennacraig-Islay.
*Timetables for Tiree Music Festival are still being finalised, therefore bookings for period 9 – 16 July 2025 will not be available for the following routes: Oban-Coll/Tiree, Oban – Craignure, Oban – Colonsay and Kennacraig – Islay.
Timetables and bookings for all other routes will follow on a currently unspecified date in January.
