I'll be in Glasgow & Edinburgh for about 8 days in Aug for a family wedding. I will have 1-2 days to go elsewhere and would love recommendations for Bus day trip tours from GLA to see some of the flavor of the highlands, coast, lochs, maybe a castle. We'd prefer not to self drive. We're 2 adults, 50s, good with moderate activity.

Rabbies-we took their one-day tour to Loch Lomond and the Highlands. They are very popular with people on this forum.
Glasgow's closer to the scenic west than Edinburgh. Even so, there'd be a lot of transportation back and forth on a one-day trip; I'm not sure how much time you'd be able to spend outside the van. I'd see whether Rabbies has a two-day trip that works for you.
Another vote for Rabbies. They are not big bus tours but have a maximum of 16 passengers.
I've taken a few and haven't been disappointed.
