Anyone have a recommendation for north highlands area, one night stay?

I cannot recommend any specific establishment because I live in the north east of Scotland and have no need to find accommodation, but the villages of Ballater and Braemar are worth an overnight stop. I don't know if this area of the north east fits in with your plans?

When Mom and I were in Britain in 2012, we stayed one night at the Pottery House just outside of Inverness, on Loch Ness. It was the best night of our entire trip, with comfy beds, large bathroom, a fridge with a bottle of milk in the closet, wonderful robes, and a fantastic breakfast. I couldn't recommend this place any more!!
