Blow Dryer?

My husband and I will be joining the Rick Steve's Scotland in 13 Days tour in June. I will need to blow dry my hair a few times during this tour, maybe more should/when I get rained on. I am trying to decide if I need to bring a blow dryer. Do the hotels provide one in the rooms?

Every hotel will have a hair dryer. One less thing you need to think about packing. Enjoy your tour - it is fabulous!

I agree with Lisuza. Sometimes you need to hunt for it, though. In a drawer, the closet, lol. If you don’t find it, ask at the Registration Desk. In UK there will not be a plug in the bathroom so you’ll set up somewhere in the room.

Have an awesome time!

As above, there will be a hairdryer in all but the most basic hotel or B&B rooms. Definitely don't bring one for the States as it will likely be overloaded by our electricity which runs at 230V. You'd also need a voltage converter.

If you take any type of flatiron or curling iron, be sure that it is dual voltage. You may already know this, but most of the hotels do not provide washcloths. So, you may want to take those if that is something you use.

Yes, a hotel is not necessarily going to provide anything you travel with in your diddly bag.

So no facecloths, no toothpaste, no toothbrush, only basic shampoo and soaps and so in.

If it doesn't fit in a diddly bag, towels, hair dryer, bed, tea machine, than the chances are it will be provided. Just not where you may expect.
