Best view of Oban and the bay

We'll be passing through Oban en route to Mull.

I've seen a few photos from the hills above Oban that show the city and the bay. I'd love to see the view myself.

Any suggestions where we should go?

Any suggestions as to where to park to best explore the quayside shops?

Mc Caig's Tower is about the highest point that overlooks the town and bay. The views are really great as well as touring the place itself.
