Best rental car company in Scotland

Looking to book rental car to travel round trip from Edinburg to Inverness.
What companies are the best?

So far I have checked out Hertz, Avis and Europcar.

I know the option of train is there as well but would like a car to explore the highlands.

The best is the cheapest. All cars run fine. Use kayak.

I've rented from Hertz and from National. And in the Orkney's I've rented local. I agree with Ed. Go with what is cheapest and has the best deal. Or look at locations.
