We will be staying three nights in Thurso to so some exploring of the area, need suggestions a=on a great place to stay!

I haven't been there but I took a quick look at TripAdvisor and saw that there's a very big selection for such a small town. Do you want to be right in Thurso, or is the surrounding area OK (or even preferable)? What is your budget? Do you prefer a B&B or a hotel?

Budget isn't all that important, neither is the exact location, I was hoping someone who has stayed in Thurso or near there had some good hotel or B&B recommendations. Only requirement we really have is our own bathroom! We are just wanting to explore the north for a few days!

We stayed at Forss house hotel in 2015. It is a lovely old country house hotel. The room was spacious and the restaurant had excellent cuisine.

We stayed at the St. Clair a few years ago. It's not the Ritz, but it was clean and comfortable, and reasonably priced. All rooms are en-suite.
If you've ever read Bill Bryson's book "Notes from a Small Island," he recommends the Pentland Hotel in Thurso. It's a little more dear than the St. Clair.
Wherever you end up staying, have a wonderful holiday!
