Need recommendations for a hotel close to airport with easy access to central Edinburgh. Also how early do I need to get to the airport for a Paris connect?

Hi, Jen,
The Double Tree would most likely be your best bet. It's closest to the airport terminal and the tram to central Edinburgh. There are other hotels in the vicinity of the airport, but most of them require a taxi ride. The Hampton would also be a choice. Both are owned by Hilton, so it seems that Hilton have cornered the market on hotels with close proximity to EDI.
It's possible that your check in time for your Paris flight from EDI may be determined by what happens with Brexit. Just to be on the safe side, you should arrive at least 90 minutes ahead of your scheduled departure, but two hours would be preferable if things are looking dicey. Best to check with your airline, especially on your day of departure.

There is also now the new Moxy hotel (Marriott chain) which is also a short walk from the terminal building. For your Paris flight I would advise 2 hours check in.

what time is your flight at, it is pretty easy to get to the airport from the city centre,taxi,buses and trams only take 30 minutes or less.

Yes I think in order to know where to recommend a hotel for, we’d need to know the time of your Paris-bound flight.
