Hello, my husband and I are going to Scotland mid-October. Wondering if anyone has a recommendation in regards to staying over night in a castle?

The web site Visit Scotland has Castle accommodations listed. I glanced at it and it looks like there are indeed real castles that can be stayed in by tourists. Hope that there is one that would work for you.

Barcaldine Castle near Oban is quite nice. Check it out on the internet. My wife and I stayed there years ago, before it became a luxury B&B.
Melville Castle (where Willie's gane, boots and spurs and a', according to the song) near Edinburgh, also looks quite nice, and reasonably priced.
Although if I ever win the lottery, Amhuinnsuidhe Castle on Harris would be the one for me!

I was checking into the same...search Kilmartin castle. It was already booked for our trip unfortunately
