We'll be taking a train from Dublin to Belfast for a one-day tour. Need best way to travel from Belfast to Edinburgh.

There is a ferry, but it combines with bus and then more train to get to Glasgow. So, yeah, check out flights unless you're in love with the water crossing.

We flew Easy jet from Belfast to Edinburgh. Flight took less than an hour. Economical and efficient.
