There will be two of us in August vacationing in Edinburgh. I have been looking at the Barony House , which looks like a good choice except for the location. Any suggestions on similar B&Bs closure to the Royal Mile? Of is Barony House the best choice?

August is the annual Fringe Festival, so prices will be very high. Are you participating in the Festival? IMHO, it's so much fun! We always stay at the Parliament House, or on George's Street.

It’s on a main road with very frequent bus service, so it should be fine.
The Royal Mile area will be super busy and noisy well into the night, so if it were me, I’d go with Barony House.
August=Festival time.
