Another deactivated forum topic about this (from 2024) misled me into thinking that bus travel from Armadale to Portree would be challenging.
It wasn't.
Though no buses travel on Sunday, we arrived off the ferry at 9:45 to Armadale on Saturday, Sept 13/25, and waited in the nearby covered bus stop until 10:30 to catch the Stagecoach North 52 bus to Portree.
There were only four of us on board, but we picked up a few others on the way via Broadford.
We booked an excellent Skye Scenic tour for the Sunday, had a great time with Donald as our driver/guide, then returned to the mainland to Kyle of Lochalsh on the Citylink bus on the Monday morning.
The bus suited our needs perfectly for our two night b&b stay
