Ardnamurchan Peninsula or Iona, Staffa & Mull Islands tour?

I am traveling to Scotland in October and have a full day (staying in Ft. Williams) that I am trying to decide whether we should drive around the Ardnamurchan Peninsula or do a tour of Iona, Mull & Staffa islands. Would love any input you have.

Thank you!

Ardnamurchan is one of my favourite parts of Scotland. It's a great full day doing a loop from Fort William and taking the Corran ferry over to the peninsula. Good walking, stunning scenery, trying to spot otters on the beaches, exploring lighthouses and some great cafes en route with lovely, helpful staff. I always drive it clockwise for some reason as for me the most interesting part is the south and southwest.

The islands are also interesting, but the sea maybe choppy in October and they deserve longer than a couple of hours.

Thank you. I appreciate your feedback. I've never taken a ferry before so I'll have a new experience there to. :)

The Corran ferry is c 5 minutes, so it will be a brief experience!

Well I guess I can say having to drive my car on to a ferry will be new then. Lol! Thank you again. I'm really looking forward to seeing everything.
