April Travel - Any suggestions?

Hello,

I am flying into Edinburgh to start a 2-week trip with my 18-year-old nephew (his senior gift from me). We arrive on April 21st around noon. So I am trying to determine what might be a good first afternoon activity. Looking to do something light to start seeing the city. We will be in Edinburgh for 3 more days. This is plan:

Day 1 - Land at noon (international flight arrival) - Make it to the condo between 2/3 pm and check-in
- Deans Village, Water of Leigh Walkway?

Day 2 - Edinburgh Castle, Royal Mile, Old Town, Mary King's Close/Ghost Tour

Day 3 - Highland Day Tour (If you have any recommendations, please help. I have narrowed it down to these two - 1. Timberbush: Glenfinnan Monument, Viaduct, Glencoe and Fort Williams) or 2. The Hairy Coo: Glenfinnan, Glencoe and Scottish Highlands Tour. These were picked because my nephew wanted to see the Viaduct.

Day 4 - Holyroodhouse, Calton Hill, Arthurs Seat, Princess Street. Harry Pott Walking Tour (1 hr)

Depart for London via Train Morning of Day 5

Any Thoughts, Suggestion or Help would we welcomed!! First time in Scotland and looking forward to seeing as much as we can knowing we can't see everything.

I did my day tours with Rabbie’s, but both companies you mentioned also get great reviews. So, I would pick based on the itinerary you like best. Or the one your nephew likes best. :-)

For the rest, I would try to remain as flexible as you can so you can plan around the weather.
