I'm looking for places to stay. Just wondering if anyone here has been to the Shetland Islands. It is a part of Scotland.

Are you wanting B&B or S/C? We have used the Decca which is 5 minutes drive from the centre of Lerwick. It gets very good reviews on Trip Advisor.
The Decca sounds good, but I don't plant to rent a car and I think it would be better be in town. I know that accommodations are very limited. I plan to stay 5 days to attend an event and do some WWII history, then go to Norway.
If you like police dramas don't miss the TV show "Shetland". The scenery is fabulous.
Carol, I love that show. I would be fun to see if there is a tour where you go to the places they film the show. I did that when I was in Oxford. We went on a tour of all the places where Midsumer Murder Mysteries are filmed. Great fun. And many of them very historic.
I too love "Shetland" and primarily watch it for the scenery and aerial photography. Pretty good drama stories too! What's gonna happen to Jimmy??????
We were in Shetland a few weeks ago, and stayed right in town. Aald Harbour B&B was fine, except an illness (non-Covid) forced the proprietor to run two B&Bs at once, so breakfast was downgraded to a good continental from a full Scottish. Try to book dinners in advance or you'll end up with fish & chips every night. We rented a car and saw lots of puffins, mostly in the north. It was my wife's favorite destination of the entire trip and we're already thinking about returning.
We just got back a week ago from Shetland. We were one a tour. Stayed in Burrastow House. It was. Drive back into Lerwick and down to sumburgh. But it was nice. Pierre owner is a Michelin chef!!
Tour was with Seymour travels.
How did you get to Shetland? By Loganair?
Not sure the question was for me, but we flew LoganAir from Stornoway (via Inverness). The tickets were very reasonable six months in advance. Price climbs by the day as travel date approaches.
I'm hoping LoganAir has flights every day from Shetland to Aberdeen which has flights to Bergen Norway. I'm going to be zigzagging my way there after several days stay in Lerwick. I hope it was easy to get a taxi to and from the airport.
