Anyone who intends to travel to the Isle of Arran in the next week or so needs to keep a close eye on the CalMac website or app.
The linkspan for the service berth at Ardrossan has failed (not a CalMac problem, it is the Port Authority problem), so the Irish berth is being used for all sailings.
This is leading to short notice cancellations and re timings for the MV Alfred- the second route vessel- in some cases running up to 2 1/2 hours early.
