Do travellers usually use cabs or Uber/Lyft when getting from the airport to City Centers? Thanks!
Hi, mccollum81,
Edinburgh has a tram going directly from the airport to city center. Cost is six pounds.
Glasgow has an express bus (#500) going directly to the city center. Cost is eight pounds.
Other than that, a taxi would be your best bet. The cost in either city is about 20 pounds plus tip.
Uber is available in both cities, but you're better off with a taxi. You can snag a taxi right outside the airport terminal; I'm not sure at this point whether they let the Uber cars in to the taxi rank.

I took the Airlink 100 airport express bus to the city center when I visited Edinburgh, and it was very convenient.
You’ll find the blue Airlink Bus right outside the main entrance of the airport.
The bus driver was very friendly and helpful; he even suggested a different stop where I could catch the city bus that let me off near the hotel where I was staying.
Have a wonderful trip!
Have used the tram system and found it very efficient to get to the city center.
