Airports - potential strike action

I'm not really into the FIFA World Cup but thought the games were in the US and Canada so this would affect folks flying over to the US for games? Late June-ish??

Commonwealth Games looks like they are July 23-Aug 2 in Glasgow?

Pam, I was surprised too, but there are games that I guess have something to do with the World Cup, but they're not actually part of the World Cup. Color me confused! At any rate, there were some games in Stockholm, and I saw those because I was wondering if my trip there would be affected, but they are in June, not July.

TTM, if there were strikes at Edinburgh and Glasgow, I wonder if they might start diverting planes to Aberdeen. Hopefully not! Send them all to Heathrow! 😂

I'd have thought Glasgow and Edinburgh diversions would go to Prestwick. That's just a guess though.

I fly back into Scotland in a little over two weeks. Luckily for me, it's into Dundee. No strikes there.

Re the FIFA World Cup, this is the first since France 1998 that Scotland has qualified for so a lot of people will be flying out of Edinburgh and Glasgow. We really should focus on the rugby, better chance of winning!
