Adapter and voltage on RS Beat of Scotland tour

Greetings all- for those who have been on the tour…. Did you need a voltage adapter along with the plug for the hotels on the tour or just the plug adapter?

I have a multiple prong adapter already but wondering about differ voltage for iPhone, kindle, camera battery charger.

You can check the tags on your appliances to see if they are dual voltage - I would guess they all are. If so, you only need your adapter, not the converter.

If somewhere on the charger it says something close to 110-240v then it is dual voltage and all you need is the plug adapter.
Most modern electronics are dual voltage.

Since I have a converter, I always take it, but haven’t needed it for a few years. I take it in case I lose the iPhone charger, it breaks, or need to charge a couple devices at the same time.

My $20 adapter (EU,UK,US,AUS) includes four USB ports, so I just need cords with the right plug for the phone.

I was in Scotland last week and three of my four hotels (two in Glasgow and one in Mallaig) had USB outlets built-in to the desks or at the base of the lamps. They were also on the buses. You should definitely take your plug and an adapter, but USB outlets are becoming more common.
