Accomodations in Inverness in Sept for three nights

Hello friends. I have not had much luck finding 3 rooms in Inverness in mid Sept. Any suggestions?

Hi, Gail,

Have you tried Premier Inn? There are several in Inverness, including one right on the river. Most of them are reasonably priced.

It's a chain hotel, so the rooms are pretty much uniform. But they are clean and comfortable, and they all have an attached restaurant.

Last time through (July, 2022), we stayed three nights at the PI West, which is on the bank of the Caledonian Canal. That one is about a 20 minute walk from the centre of town, or about five minutes by car. The room was very comfortable, and even had air conditioning.

Check out the PI website for locations and prices.

Good luck!

Mike (Auchterless)

p.s.: Several posters here have recommended the Glen Mhor Hotel on Nessbank. It's more expensive than the PIs, but it has some excellent reviews.

Do you have to stay in Inverness? We stayed at the Sunny Brae B&B in Nairn and absolutely loved it. It is small, though, so they might not have any rooms available for this September but it’s worth a try. We had a large master suite. The rooms are large and beautiful. Beautiful views overlooking the Firth of moray. Delicious breakfast included. Gracious hosts. No lift, though.

Another attractive place to stay in the Inverness area is the Victorian spa village of Strathpeffer (just a few miles north of Inverness, across the Kessock Bridge).
There are a number of places to stay there, but my choice is the Ben Wyvis Hotel.

Definitely Premier Inn and the 'West Inverness' one is (in my option having stayed in them all) the best and most modern.

You haven't specified dates - but just did a search on a well known site for three very middle days and found loads of options. Are you looking for something very specific?

We had a very nice stay at The Ness House. Covid reduced the breakfast to continental style but otherwise great.
