Hello Friends. Staying in Edinburgh for 3 nights in mid Sept. I need to find 3 rooms (traveling with our father who is 85). Any suggestions.

Thank you

Also, do you need a hotel with lift, breakfast, etc? Close to public transportation? Edinburg is very hilly.
As I'm sure you are figuring out, you're a little late to the game for this Sept., with the record number of folks heading to Europe this year. September really isn't off- season any more. Have you searched booking.com?
We really like the Parliament House on Calton Hill, but as the name implies, is on a hill.
Good luck !

We are currently in Scotland. Edinburgh was our first stop. We stayed at the Ibis St. Andrews Square, and were very happy with the hotel. The hotel has a lift and a breakfast buffet. It is very conveniently located. The immediate neighborhood is flat but Edinburgh is hilly so I suggest getting taxis for your dad. The staff are very pleasant and helpful. Our room was small but that is typical of Eurpean/UK hotels.

Premier Inn on York Place is a popular choice. Convenient for public transport (buses and trams) too.

(Fun fact about the PI York Place - It was previously the Customs & Excise headquarters in Edinburgh and I attended many a meeting there in my former life as a commissioned officer in HM Customs & Excise)

Your exact dates and budget would help - September is very popular with volatile pricing

My husband booked us for three nights at the Moxie at the airport. He used points (either Hyatt or Hilton). Know that Moxie has small rooms and is fairly no frill but we'll only be sleeping there, and as we have a very early flight out, it'll be convenient too. We have used a Moxie once in Munich a few years ago and it was fine.
