We will be traveling with our grandchildren (12 & 13) to Scotland in July. Are there restrictions regarding children in the pubs? Thanks.

it depends on the pub. By and large with food there are no restrictions on being in the pub in Scotland. In the evening there may be some as the emphasis switches to shifting drink. As in everything it depends on the pub, the purpose of the visit and entertainment.
