Marriott Courtyard Inverness Airport

Recently stayed one night en route to London from Skye.

Plus points
- very close to the car rental. A two minute walk
- less then 5 minute walk to the terminal
- Plenty of parking for those arriving in their own car. Deals available to include parking if flying out and back as we were. Cheaper than airport parking and saved moving the car.
- Modern, clean, well appointed hotel
- Has a gym for those who find that important.
- Got a decent rate with breakfast included.
- Room was large, comfortable, no noise.
- Bathroom had large walk in shower.
- There was a fridge with free bottled water. Also tea and coffee making equipment and biscuits.

Less positive aspects.
- Buffet breakfast with items sitting under hot lamps. Personally I prefer my bacon freshly cooked, and not left to harden in the dish.
- prepared fresh fruit consisted of under ripe melon. No berries etc.
- Juice was very watery, not freshly squeezed OJ.
- Nowhere on site to get dinner apart from the hotel. The selection was unappealing and when it was delivered to the table it was fairly bland fare. It was adequate but pricy.

Would I stay again. Yes but I’d bring a picnic for dinner.

thanks - it has been years since I have been in a Courtyard. Marriott zapped my points several years ago during covid and I haven't crossed their threshold since. I had a whole bunch of them so I wasn't happy.

Good balanced review, sad to see that they have gone down the watered down juice drink route.

Nigel,
I had the same experience with my points disappearing during Covid. It was with reluctance that we booked with them, but convenience won the day. I’d certainly stay there again, but IHG and Hilton have most of my loyalty now.

Thanks for this review Jacqui. I agree that I would rather have freshly cooked bacon !! The advice about lackluster dining choice for dinner is very useful and will help people know to bring, as you said, a picnic, or eat in town before coming out to the hotel.

This will be really helpful for those considering flying in/out of Inverness.
