If you are on the hunt for a beautiful and friendly bed and breakfast in Edinburgh- just far enough away from the crowds, look no further than the Barony House! This place is amazing. We stayed there 3 nights during our tour of Scotland and loved every minute of it. Paul and Susan are a couple of Aussies who fell in love with Edinburgh and decided to open a Bed and breakfast there. They are some of the friendliest people you will ever meet. The Barony House is close to downtown, close to Craigmillar Castle and a skip away on the bus from Roslyn Chapel. The rooms are gorgeous, the breakfasts are homemade and will leave you wanting for nothing! We think this B&B belongs in the Rick Steves guide due to the quality and value, it's unique charm in harmony with the "Europe through the backdoor" experience. We had such a magical time I feel motivated to spread the word! I would say that price-wise this place in the moderate category for a B&B and worth every penny. We felt like we had been welcomed in by long-lost friends!
