On R Steves Scotland tour. Came 1 day early to Inverness from Stirling. Called tour hotel- coming 1 day early: deal? £179. While on train I searched online and got connected to Mercure ( brief mention in Steves guide), “joined” for 10% discount. Deal: £99 ! Close to rail ~1-2 blocks. Upon arrival they upgraded me to a Privilege room. Queen size bed, clean, town convenient. Mercure——Highly recommended
