Heading to Glasgow for a family wedding in July 2016. The wedding will be at the Culzean castle in Ayr, and wedding party is staying at the Carlton George in Glasgow. The Carlton Gorge is a little pricey for our family of 5 attending. Looking for suggestions of a nice, clean hotel or B&B not too far from the Carlton George. Thanks!

We stayed in the Grasshopper which is above the Glasgow Central train station, but not noisy at all. I highly recommend it.

It is just a few blocks from the Carlton and I seem to recall a pedestrian zone on the way.
They describe themselves as a luxury hotel but that is a stretch. It is very modern and friendly, but our room was pretty small. But for £85 we were very happy.
They have double, twins, and triples so some combination should work for a family of 5.
We loved Glasgow. Be sure and visit the Lighthouse to learn about Charles Rennie Mackintosh. It is a block away.
