Heathmount Hotel Inverness

I know people often ask about hotel or B&B recommendations in Inverness, so I thought I would share a recommendation for the Heathmount Hotel, which I stayed in earlier this month while having to stay overnight in Inverness (I usually go there and back to Skye in a day).

The hotel is fairly small and has no lift. But please don't let put you off - I'm sure they'd help with luggage if needed. The staff and owner were friendly and professional. We were upgraded from one of their 'loft' rooms to a four poster on the first (US second) floor. The room was large, the bed was very comfortable. There were tea & coffee making provisions, an iron & ironing board, safe, hairdryer etc and a large closet. The bathroom was large with a huge shower and a separate bath. We ate both dinner and breakfast at the hotel and both were really good. Breakfast was cooked to order, so no issues with bacon sitting out on a buffet for ages and getting cold! There is also free parking - unusually for central Inverness. The hotel is located in a quiet area but very walkable back into the city centre.
