Glasgow Tenement B&B

Has anyone stayed at the Glasgow Tenement B&B? Looks like it situated in a nice area (on Google Earth). I found the accommodation on visitscotland.com . It's in the west end and very close to Hyndland RR station. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks, Bob

We haven't stayed there, but in the neighborhood, at Victoria House Hotel & B & B. The Tenement House B & B is several streets over and we have walked past. I'm not sure the B & B is in the Tenement House since it is a museum, it might be though. The nearest railroad station I see on the map is Cowcaddens which is a subway station. We have used that several times. The Glasgow subway goes in a large oval. Cars on one side go one way, cars on the other side go the other way.

I would suggest you buy a Rough Guide Scotland. It is by far the best there is. Oh, the Garnet Street Synagogue is nearby, a very interesting stop.

Bob, it looks like a nice place and the owner sounds like a nice person. One of the rooms has a king sized bed which is hard to find at a B & B. You get a self-serve continental breakfast or can store and cook your own meals or for a reasonable charge she will cook you a hot breakfast and dinner. Also, you can wash clothes there, hang them out to dry, and iron them or for a small fee, she'll do your laundry for you. She also offers maps of the area and help in deciding where to go and what to do. Considering the low price, this sounds like a deal. She has reviews on her site but there is no way to know anything about the people writing them or what they might have received in return or if they suppressed negative reviews. Unfortunately there are no reviews for them on Tripadvisor or anywhere else I could see. You might want to go to their site http://glasgowtenement.co.uk and click on all the links to see their location, rooms, facilities, and amenities , and the other links. It is a nicely done site and the place looks fine. It is inside a real home.
