Dining in Oban

Can anyone recommend a restaurant in Oban that the group won’t dine at on the second night there? I’d like to make a reservation at one of the restaurants listed in the guide book, but hope not to repeat the next evening with the tour group. For those who have taken the 13 day tour, which restaurant was used for the group meal?

I just got home from this tour and we dined in the hotel restaurant for the group meal.

I had good meals at the Waterfront Fishhouse and Coasters on the other nights.

I really enjoyed the whole tour.

Sorry to disagree, jeanm, but I also ate at EE-USK in 2023, and it was one of the worst meals I had in my entire five weeks in Scotland.

I had great fish & chips in Oban, but I'm afraid I can't remember where. It was somewhere along Corran Esplanade or possible on George St. There are quite a few options, though, so I'm sorry I can't pin it down.

EDIT: Here's a photo of my dinner plate. It's scallops, in case you can't tell.

We also ate at Ee-usk on the waterfront celebrating our Anniversary and it was excellent. My husband’s favorite dinner.

I ate at Ee-usk in 2023 and I had an amazing meal! I would second and third that as a choice.

I was in Oban in early June. The Oban Seafood Hut might have served me my freshest meal in 60 years. I had a salmon sandwich that was so fresh it must have been caught that same day. It's just a green shack, and you might have to stand to eat, but it was worth it.
