This hotel is currently being used exclusively for Ukrainian refugees.

The refugees’ lives have to be at least just a tiny bit better than right before the were out up in the hotel. I wonder whether the Norwegian government, or some othe source, is covering the cost of their lodging? Or is the hotel putting them up on its own?

Cyn, I don’t know who is footing the bill, but I will say I greatly admire the support and solidarity of the Norwegian people for Ukraine. Ukrainian flags everywhere. We chuckled at the changing of a “Moscow Mule” on a cocktail menu to a “Kyiv Mule.” After touring the resistance museums in both Oslo and Bergen, it’s clear there is a long history of the people of Norway doing the right thing. Proud to have visited such a wonderful country!
