how is the location of the Tivoli Hotel in Copenhagen

Hello,
Our 3 generation party of 11 people has reservations at the Tivoli Hotel in June. The reviews were fairly good and the price for our party was doable. Looking on street view of google maps, it appears to be in a fairly ugly, industrial part of town, without many restaurants nearby. Does anyone have an opinion about the hotel, or a suggestion for one in a prettier area of town nearer coffee shops and restaurants? Thanks in advance.

We stayed at the Radisson Blu and did not like it’s location at all. It was near Tivoli Gardens. Look at Nyhaven and Stroget areas to be in more in the city, surrounded by it’s charm.

You can look the location up on Google Maps. The Tivoli Hotel is a modern hotel and it's down on the water maybe 5-6 blocks from the Tivoli Gardens. It's a little out of the way, actually--with the railroad tracks behind the hotel that go up to the Main Train Station. The train station is just across the street from the Tivoli Gardens.

I would prefer to be on the other side of the tracks, however most of the properties are not quite so large. Traveling with 11 people is somewhat difficult. Any way you go, the hotels in Copenhagen can be expensive.

We stayed at two hotels in Copenhagen. I can't remember the name of the first one, but I wouldn't recommend it anyway, lol. The other was the Scandic Front which we did like. Our son was living in Copenhagen at the time and we were there to visit him. The SF was very nice and an easy walk to everything.

We were in Copenhagen last August for my daughter’s wedding and stayed at the Hotel Skt. Petri. It is a great location - lots of restaurants and within walking distance to everything. It was very nice. We had rooms with balconies and they had a great breakfast. Definitely recommend!

Thanks to all for the input. Some better options are sold out for our dates and number of people, but the Marriott is an option. Is that any better than the Tivoli for location?

There is a Marriott that cruise ships put their passengers who are cruising in a day of two,Mobs of people and not too convenient either. Perhaps there is more than one Marriott?

The Marriott is somewhat out of the way from the Stroget area. I have stayed there on business but would not recommend for a tour visit. The Radisson Blu is close to Tivoli and not a far walk from Stroget. I've also stayed at the Hotel Christian IV, close to the Rosenburg Castle. It's a small, serviceable hotel.
