We are a family of 5 traveling to Copenhagen in June 2025. I would love some recommendations for parents traveling with 3 teens/tweens. Reasonably priced would be a huge bonus. Thanks so much!
Here's a thought as you gather ideas. With teens/tweens you might think about buying out a 6-person dorm room at the excellent Steel House Copenhagen, a hostel. There's a lovely large lounge area, you can buy breakfast and snacks there, they are very helpful, and there are laundry facilities in the basement. It would give your kids a measure of independence within the building. Depending on your timing, it may well be among the most economical lodging options you will find, and you can all be in one room. The bonus is introducing your children to a travel style they could continue as young adults. This particular hostel isn't really roughing it. steelhousecopenhagen.com or read reviews on hostelworld.com.
Nancy brings up a great idea. Hotels in Copenhagen are expensive. I’ve stayed in a similar hostel in Stockholm that is kind of part hotel and part hostel and it was a great solution for me — and my brother and his family — given lodging expenses in these places.
