Our tour ends on July 2 in St Petersburg. We though we would stay an extra couple of days then take the high speed train to Moscow. Does anyone know of a good hotel or tour company in Moscow? Anyone interested in sharing tours?

I've also heard good things about express2russia.
That said, I don't really see the point of using a tour company for a short Moscow stay. I can only think of a couple of tours that MUST be booked via a company (faceted chamber/Kremlin palace is one of them), but everything else is totally a diy territory.
You can book hotels, trains, circus/theaters/concerts, river boat rides, and individual tours online. For a rather comprehensive list of things happening in Moscow you might want to check the most current edition of (free) InYourPocket guide.
What kind of itinerary do you have in mind?
