We're in St. Petersburg now. We're staying at the 3Mosta hotel right now- very quite and close to the Hermitage and Church of Spilled Blood. On Tuesday we're moving to the Art Hotel Demetra. Looks very nice and will be closer to transportation and restaurants. It's very cold, supposed to snow tonight, so we figure not having to walk most everywhere will be good.
What is the situation like on the ground?
Amazingly calm. We learned of the explosion when we were having lunch- via TV in the restaurant bathroom. No one in the restaurant was talking about it. We've heard most the news via the internet and friends/family from home.
Thanks for the update.
Take care!
