My friend and I will be visiting Moscow and St. Petersburg in a couple of weeks. We are quilters and always like to visit and buy fabric from the places we visit. Does anyone know of any shops that sell fabric in these 2 places? Thanks

Most brick-and-mortar arts and crafts shops will deal primarily, if not exclusively, with imports - basically all the stuff you can find at Michael's at triple the price...
For something more local, check out http://www.trekhgorka.ru/shop. Use Google translate (or if you have questions, drop me a pm and I'll try to help you out). They list two stores, main one in Moscow, and a partner store in SPb.
I haven't been to either of these stores, but the name is kind of legendary - it's one of the oldest Russian fabric manufacturers.
