We are going to St Petersburg for 5 days and looking for a good food tour for one of the days that would include going to a market and eating spots...possibly a home cooked meal. Any suggestions and recommendations? We are staying at a hotel near the Russian Museum.

I haven't personally come across any food tours in Spb, but the city does have a lot to offer, if you are willing to explore. Georgian would probably make the top of my list (my favorite place was right across from Dostoevsky apartment museum, also next to one of the bigger markets (Kuznechny Rynok).
Hipster-fuelled burger scene is also getting out of whack - there seems to be a burger place at every corner.
International is pretty well represented too, with some authentic Chinese, Thai, Israeli spots.
The only one that I've had no luck with was Mexican - RusMex is definitely an aquired taste.
