I plan a trip to Baikal in summer. Who has already been there, tell me, please, what is worth visiting, Olkhon Island or the Barguzin Valley with its thermal springs.

Not sure one can visit Lake Baikal these days since it is in Russia. The U.S. State Department has Russia in
a category 4 “Do not travel to” status.

I also had plans for Baikal this summer - that didn't work out, unfortunately. There is an American vet on YouTube currently building his new life (and a new house) in Irkutsk region. The channel is rough around the edges, but some of his stories and videos are really interesting
