I have read previous comments related to this, but I think things may have changed. I am having trouble finding timetable and online purchase access on the Allegro VR web site regarding purchasing tickets for St.Petersbug to Helsinki for Sept 8. If anyone has recent info, please advise. My husband and I are finishing a tour in St. Petersburg and planning to take train to Helsinki and then visit Scandinavia on our own flying back to US from Stockholm. I would like to be sure that things go as smoothly as possible leaving Russia.

Here's the specific Man In Seat 61 page on the Allegro train; he says you can buy it from the Finnish Railways website for either direction, and includes a link. https://www.seat61.com/helsinki-to-st-petersburg-by-train.htm

Which website do people recommend, in general, as the best site to use when buying train tickets in Russia?
