The show on Monaco and Norway also covered travel faux pas. This may be more of a mixup.
When I was on an unaccompanied tour with the UN in Egypt in the 80s, on one of my wife's visits we went to Luxor. On the last day there we had a guide take us around. When he took us to the airport for our flight back to Cairo, he asked me if I wanted a beer -- at least I thought that's what he said. After a long, hot day, I said 'yes.' Actually, he said 'Birra' -- an Egyptian non-alcoholic beer and probably one of the worst tasting NABs in the world.
