My wife and I listened to the March 28th broadcast and were particularly interested in the questions and responses about travelling in Italy. We are planning a two week trip to Italy beginning May 5th. We will spend a few days in Rome at the beginning and a few days in Florence and Venice at the end. However the bulk of the trip will be a week in Abruzzo taking a pasta cooking class. When we started doing research on Abruzzo, we found no mention in Fodor's, Frommer's, or Rick's Italy travel guides. We are wondering why this area of Italy is ignored in the guides.

The region is not among Rick's choices for the most impactful first month that a person could spend in Italy. But you have a specific reason for going, which sounds like fun.
