Would this be a good location for a hotel in Lisbon? Hotel H10 Duque de Loule

Greetings

The hotel looks very pretty, clean and unique. However, I was advised on this forum to look for a hotel on Avenue Liberdade. For our dates, though, I am having a hard time finding anything there. Also, the rooms (with the exception of Sofitel) are all kind of small. So, now I came across hotel H10 Duque de Loule.

Any thoughts on this hotel? The location..are there any cute stores, cafes around? I am traveling with a group of elderly ladies. Would this be a good location/hotel for someone in that group age? We are definitely going to be using a combination of chartered minibus + taxis + tuktuks for our main sightseeing program. But for free time to just wander around, is this a good spot?

Thank you!

I would not stay that far out. The Baixa or Rossio areas are much more central to lots of things for tourists. Both areas are on flat ground (rare in Lisbon) and would be good for the elderly.

It is NOT in the main tourist area, but Lisboa is small. The entire length of Avenida de Liberdade is only 1.5km.
There are places to eat everywhere.
The Metro and the buses are excellent. Buy each person a Viva Viagem card and start it off with €15.
"a group of elderly ladies" who can walk 50 meters before collapsing or 1000 meters?
I was an old fart of 68 when we vacationed in Lisboa and we walked 7km a day. Which in the Bairro Alto can be a bit tiring. But that is why bars/restaurants were invented.

""a group of elderly ladies" who can walk 50 meters before collapsing or 1000 meters?" Defintely not 50 meters :)). After each trip, I'm thinking wow I walked them to death! We have really full days starting with all the sightseeing, long dinner, and even evening events such as flamenco show or night visit to the Alhambra etc. It always amazes me that they can keep up with this schedule! That said, Portugal worries me becuase of all the hills (LIsbon, Porto, Coimbra...everywhere!) and the cobbled stoned streets. All these YouTube videos give me a clearer idea of what the streets look like.

The above said hotel looks really lovely. And has spacious rooms + bathtubs (which is important to Japanese ladies). The reviews mostly are quite possitive. So I wonder if the less than perfect location can be overlooked by having a bigger room. Don't know. Of course I am still searching for other options too.

Ola,
I Google mapped the hotel and in my opinion it is a bit too far from everything. We stay in the Principe real which is not exactly in the center of all the busyness, but nowhere near as far away as the hotel you are considering. But you know the capabilities of the people you will be traveling with better than I do
