Hello -
When I traveled to Ireland in early April the best tip someone gave me was to wear a windproof jacket - I brought a suede one and was very happy I did so. Now that I'm going in early April 2014 to Portugal, another country on the Atlantic coast, I am wondering if the wind is a constant there, as well. Can anyone tell me?
Prevailing Atlantic oceanic winds in the northern hemisphere dictate onshore winds for western coasts.
Waterproof is also windproof. Not having a waterproof jacket as part of a basic travel kit for anywhere is inconceivable.
The wind can blow like stink all over Portugal.
Thanks Ed. Your last sentence was quite helpful.
