We are going to rent a camper van and drive the coast of Portugal. My husband wants to surf and I want to go to wineries and a beautiful hike or two. Any recommendations about wild camping (not paying and just parking on the side of the road or seeing a cool view and sleeping there for the night).

I don’t have anything definitive but remember a bit about Portugal putting restrictions on where one could do it. I’m guessing you could find something if you google it. I do seem to remember people getting fined. So, be sure you find details on locations before you set out. I remember seeing wild camping around Sagres in the Algarve but that was 9-10 years ago.
