We will be driving from Evora to the Algarve at the end of April. We have one night to play with before we reach our already- reserved accomodation in Carveiro for 4 nights. I am thinking of seeing the far-east section of the coast before driving west, since it is a bit further to reach from Carveiro than the western part..that we want to see as well. ( Sagres, Salema, Lagos, which looks like we can do as a day trip from Carveiro). The east just looks a little less lively. Am I mistaking? Or should we just drive staight to Lagos and stay there instead for that one night? Thank you.
Tavira is likely the best bet for the eastern Algarve, but you can also drive it as a day trip. That is likely what I would do, but I also hate one night stays. That said, seeing a bit more by staying overnight would give you more of a feel for it than a day trip. I would research it a bit so see if you think it’s worth an overnight.
